Summary:Automobile supplier Kevin Shurn was born on October 20, 1956 in St. Louis, Missouri. He attended public high school in St. Louis, as a "co-op" student, enrolled in a dual academic and vocational program, and graduated with a specialty in drawing and design for manufacturing in 1974. Following graduation, he attended St. Louis Community College System institutions, where he obtained expertise in mechanical engineering and accounting. Shurn served as president and owner of Superior Maintenance Company (SMC), an ISO certified janitorial and facilities maintenance company based in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Founded in 1988, SMC had contracts nationwide and grew to a 40 million dollar company with more than 1000 employees. Shurn also served as president and owner of Shurn & Associates, Incorporated, a supplies, equipment, and machinery distributor which handles asset recovery services and leasing. Shurn was a member of the Elizabethtown Rotary Club and served as board member of the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce.
