Notes:"The portion between Manaos and Iquitos is compiled from information collected, in 1899, by Lieutenant F.S. Carter, U.S.N., navigating officer of the U.S.S. Wilmington, Commander C.C. Todd, U.S.N., commanding. The portion between Para and Manaos is reduced from the more detailed charts of the U.S. Hydrographic Office, into which the results of the observations of the officers of the U.S.S. Wilmington have been incorporated."
