This compilation by authors from the University of Guam continues bibliographies of Fujio Uchinomi, Bibliography of Micronesia (1952), and M. Marshall and J.D. Nason, Micronesia, 1944-1974 (CH, Sep'76). The style of composition is similar, with geographic and subject indexes. Although works referring to the medical aftermath of atom bomb tests are included, the subject reference is under medicine. This new work does, however, depart from the Marshall and Nason book by including Kiribati (the Gilbert Islands) and Nauru. The emphasis is indicated by the subtitle, and particular attention is paid to acculturation. Manuscripts and unpublished conference papers are included, but not a full range of government publications. ERIC and NTIS documents are included. All libraries owning the Marshall and Nason book should buy this update. Libraries with an interest in the Pacific who do not own the earlier bibliographies should try to obtain a complete set. -M. S. Martin, Tufts University
