Treasures from the film archives : a catalog of short silent fiction films held by FIAF archives /

A checklist of short, silent fiction films held in 33 repositories around the world (members of the International Federation of Film Archives). Most of the holdings are in fact those of the Library of Congress and the Museum of Modern Art in New York. This volume is well indexed by performer, director, title, series, and production company. There are no background essays, and no descriptive details on the films. Intended primarily as a finding aid for scholars and member repositories, this is a useful volume but not really an appropriate purchase for most undergraduate libraries. -W.
