Other authors / contributors:Sadeler, Jan, 1550-1600.
Broeck, Crispin van den, 1524-approximately 1591.
Borcht, Petrus van der, 1545-1608.
Bruyn, Abraham de, 1538 or 9-1587?
Notes:Text consists of poems on 39 Old Testament figures, followed by two additional poems ("Deo omnipotente sacrvm" and "Ex libro Ecclesiastico Iesv filii Syrach").
Forty engravings, including port. of the author, p. 3, and 39 representations of the Old Testament figures. They are mostly by Jan Sadeler, after designs by Crispin van den Broeck and Pieter van der Borcht; see Voet. It has been suggested that the monogram AdB that appears in the ill. on p. 26 and 44 in the Getty copy may stand for Abraham de Bruyn, but Voet notes that the monogram is lacking in the Plantin-Moretus Museum copy and considers the suggestion unfounded.
