A compilation of state-of-the art articles on individual and group decision making by British and American researchers. The articles, all but three commissioned especially for this volume, offer an overview of basic research and theory in behavioral decision making. Topics include factors influencing individual decision making under risk, stages in decision processes, group decision making, and the politics of organizational decision making. Wright has also included essays that offer aids for improved decisions and that discuss the applications of decision making in educational settings. Although the authors generally assume some familiarity with their topics, the book is very clearly written and evidences surprising breadth (for example, an excellent chapter on neo-Marxist approaches to organizational decision making). Fine bibliographies. A must for graduate libraries.-T. Sloan, University of Tulsa
