Summary:Documents the tradition of dance and prayer, conducted on each December 12 Festival of Our Lady of Guadalupe and May 3 Feast of Santa Cruz, as it has been kept alive for over 100 years by various generations of a community that left Mexico in the late 1800s to work in Texan mines, and then moved on to work in Laredo's brick factoris. These dancers, or Los Matachines, are interviewed as they prepare their costumes and dance props and explain the deep personal spiritual meaning of this sacred dance for the Saints and Holy Mother and Father.
