Summary: | Nick, the proprietor of a Bourbon Street gambling joint, an artistic haven for African-American musicians who gather and jam from dusk til dawn, falls in love with an opera-singing socialite. After losing his nightclub Nick tries over the course of many years to get jazz the respect and audience it deserves.
