Although the scope of this electronic version does not differ from the print edition, the data are presented in three ways: in tab-delimited text files, as Lotus 1-2-3 spreadsheet files, and with the DynaText program, which presents the material in "an electronic book format." In the DynaText window, the left panel displays the table of contents and the right panel the text and data. Hypertext allows viewing of series, text, and notes side by side. The system is fairly intuitive, although the toolbar icons are not always immediately decipherable. The Find function permits both Boolean searching and wild cards. The text is encoded in Standard Generalized Markup Language (SGML) for more sophisticated searching. Some table formats differ from the print version to accommodate screen viewing; these are noted. As one scrolls downward through tables, column headings disappear at the head of the screen--a significant problem. It is also unfortunate that no additional data are provided to update this work after 1975. Recommended for libraries whose readers will benefit from having these data in electronic form.
