Layout: Written in 2 columns of 30 lines (fol. 1-40), 34 lines (fol. 41-72), and 35 lines (fol. 73-84); occasional prickings in outer margin; occasional lead ruling.
Script: Written in Pregothic script by at least three scribes. Scribe changes on fol. 67v and fol. 73r.
Decoration: on fol. 1r, initial decorated with Virgin and Child under canopy in green, blue, red, brown, and black preceding text; painted initials with grotesques on fol. 1r and fol. 62v; initials throughout in green, red, and blue.
Binding: 19th-century brown morocco over boards; incorrect title lettered in gilt on spine: "Sallustii Invectiva in Ciceronem / M.T. Ciceronis"; possible shelfmark lettered in gilt on spine: "M. S.XI. S."; raised bands; inner dentelles; gilt edges covering earlier red edges; trimmed (16th-century heading on fol. 17r and initials on fol. 67v and fol. 82v partially cut off); binder's ticket for repairs by Sky Meadow Binding, June 1991.
