Summary:	Cover title. At head of title: Linen. Caption title: A visit of St. Nicholas. Cover and full-page illustrations chromolithographed. Highly stippled effect of chromolithography is characteristic of picture books issued ca. 1890-1920. Illustrations signed by Sarah Noble Ives, who created drawings for McLoughlin Bros. between at least 1901 and 1911. Issue in hand could not be located in available McLoughlin catalogs for this time period. NUC pre-1956 does list a linen issue of The night before Christmas published by McLoughlin Bros., then of Springfield, Mass. ([12] p., partly col. ill., 30 cm.). McLoughlin Bros. moved to Springfield when it was sold to Milton Bradley in 1920. Cover included in pagination.
