Summary:A story about the son of a Roman soldier. Onimaru, whose father was arreseted during the war and became a slave and finally drifted to Japan, is arrested because of the differences in his looks. Japanese people regarded him as an oni, or a monster, and tried to kill him. He managed to escape and is determined to overthrow the feudalistic government, helping Taira no Masakado and his peers.
