Summary:The volume presents a series of works created by Robert Morris in the last years of his activity and never exhibited before in Europe. Morris, who recently passed away, was a reference artist in contemporary art: Minimalism, Process Art and Land Art are just some of the major currents which he represented, in a prolific and multidirectional research that lasted about sixty years. The sculptures, belonging to the MOLTINGSEXOSKELETONSSHROUDS series, made of Belgian cloth bathed in a particular resin, and the Boustrophedons series, in carbon fiber, testify to the growing interest of the artist for the human figure and for the work of the masters of the past, marking a turning point also in his formal vocabulary which, from the typical abstraction of part of the American avant-garde, seems to be oriented towards more markedly baroque and allegorical elements. Exhibition: La Galleria Nazionale, Rome, Italy (15.10-01.03.2020).
