Summary:Annotation The proceedings of the 50th International Meeting of Physical Chemistry, held in Mont Sainte-Odile, France, September 1993, comprise some 100 contributions in the areas of: observation data and modelsfrom millimeter to optical wavelengths, from diffuse clouds to comets; structure and photon-induced dynamics of small molecular systems; collisions and reactivity; and ices and carbonaceous materials in grains and on surfaces. For small systems there is evidence of marked advances in the millimeter range, in quantum chemistry, and the gathering of an impressive number of fresh data, far from being all interpreted. Nearly 100 neutral or ionic species have already been identified. No subject index. Annotation c. by Book News, Inc., Portland, Or.
