Summary:A search for non-standard-model resonance signals decaying into pairs of jets is presented. The search is performed with the ATLAS experiment using 3.6 fb-1 of proton-proton collision data at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV from the Large Hadron Collider. The calibration and performance validation of high-pT jets are explored. Local excesses in the invariant mass spectrum of jet pairs are studied for compatibility with a data-driven background estimate. No evidence of anomalous excesses are found within a mass range of 1.1 to 6.9 TeV. Lower mass limits are set at a 95% credibility-level on the production of excited quarks below 5.2 TeV, heavy W' bosons below 2.6 TeV, and quantum black holes below 8.3 (5.3) TeV for six (one) extra-dimensional models. Limits are also set on the production of a dark matter mediator Z' for various values of the standard model coupling and on model-independent generic resonance forms.
