| 520 | 8 | |a Katharina Sieverding erhält den diesjährigen Käthe-Kollwitz-Preis der Akademie der Künste. Anlässlich der Verleihung des Preises zeigt die Akademie der Künste eine Auswahl ihrer Werke. Die Ausstellung gibt einen umfangreichen Überblick über das öffentliche Wirken und Handeln der Preisträgerin. Zu sehen sind 19 Arbeiten im Format 252 x 356 cm, die zum Teil seit den 1990er Jahren im öffentlichen Raum großflächig plakatiert wurden, und neun wandgroße Projektionen von jeweils 580 Fotomontage-Triptychen TESTCUTS 1966-2010. Mit dem Käthe-Kollwitz-Preis ehrt die Akademie eine deutsche Künstlerin, die seit den 1960er Jahren das Zeitalter der großformatigen Fotokunst einleitete. Ihr Grundthema seit ihrer Zeit als Beuys-Schülerin ist die ?Identität als Individualität und Dividualität und als kollektives Individuum? Film und Fotografie standen dabei von Anfang an im Hauptfokus ihres Schaffens. Sieverding stellt grundsätzliche Fragen zu den künstlerischen, politischen und gesellschaftlichen Bedingungen für Produktionsprozesse und die Rezeption der Kunst. Sie vereint in ihrem Œuvre Aspekte des Archivierens und des kulturellen Gedächtnisses, Selbstreflexion, das Politische, die Provokation, das Analytische sowie den Einfluss der Massenmedien und neuester Technologien auf das Individuum.00Exhibition: Akademie der Künste, Berlin, Germany (12.07. - 27.08.2017). | |
