Summary:Automobile dealer Winston R. Pittman, Jr. was born on August 31, 1950 in Grenada, Mississippi. He attended Mary Holmes Junior College in West Point, Mississippi and Jackson State College in Jackson, Mississippi. After briefly working as a hub manager for the United Parcel Service, Pittman began his career in the automotive industry as a car salesman at the Capitol Dodge dealership in Jackson in 1975. He then went on to purchase his first dealership, Cardinal Dodge, Inc., in Louisville, Kentucky in 1988, and founded Pittman Enterprises, where he served as president and CEO. Pittman Enterprises grew to include dealerships in four different states offering seven major automobile brands becoming the sixth largest automotive group in Black Enterprise magazine. Pittman received multiple awards and honors for his work in the industry, including a Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Association of Minority Automobile Dealers.
