Summary:Broadcasting CEO Gregory Davis was born in 1948, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Davis received his B.A. degree in biology from Lane College in Jackson, Tennessee. After serving in the United States Army, he returned to school and earned his M.A. degree from Eastern Michigan University. In 1986, Davis founded his company, Davis Broadcasting Inc., by acquiring radio stations in Columbus and Augusta, Georgia. Davis Broadcasting Inc. has grown to comprise ten radio stations based in Columbus and Atlanta, Georgia: WFXE-FM, WEAM-FM, WIOL-FM, WIOL-AM, WOKS-AM and WKZJ-FM in Columbus; and WCHK-FM, WCHK-AM, WLKQ-FM, and WNSY-FM in Atlanta. In 2004, WLKQ-FM became Atlanta's first Spanish language FM radio station. These ten radio stations have offered a variety of music genres, including mainstream urban, gospel contemporary, Spanish language programming, and sports. WFXE-FM, or Foxie 105, has been the top-rated radio station for hip-hop in the Columbus market for a number of years since 1993.
