| Summary: | Financial executive and federal official Mary K. Bush was born in 1948, in Birmingham, Alabama. She earned her B.A. degree in economics and political science from Fisk University in 1969; and her M.B.A. degree in finance from the University of Chicago in 1971. Bush became vice president for Bankers Trust Company in 1976. In 1982, she served as executive assistant to the deputy secretary for the U.S. Treasury. In 1984, President Reagan appointed her as alternate executive director of the International Monetary Fund. Additionally, Bush has served as vice president and head of international finance for Fannie Mae and managing director of the Federal Housing Finance Board. Bush founded her own advisory firm on financial and global business issues, Bush International, LLC, in 1991. In 2006, President George W. Bush appointed her chairman of the HELP Commission on Reforming Foreign Aid. In 2010, she became a senior manager at Brock Capital Group.
