Summary:Entrepreneur Martin Nesbitt was born on November 29, 1962 in Columbus, Ohio to Margaret and Martin Nesbitt. He received his B.S. degree from Albion College in 1985 and began working for the General Motors Acceptance Corporation. He went on receive his M.B.A. degree from the University of Chicago. He went to work for LaSalle Partners as an associate and was quickly promoted to vice president of the company. In 1996, Nesbitt became vice president of the Pritzker Realty Group. He worked there for two years before founding his own airport parking and transportation corporation called The Parking Spot. In 2003, Nesbitt was appointed to the Chicago Housing Authority, and was appointed chairman three years later. In 2007, Nesbitt served as treasurer for Barack Obama's presidential campaign. He was active in several charitable and civic organizations, including the University of Chicago Laboratory School Board and the United Negro College Fund.
