Summary:Lawyer Gloria Johnson Goins was born in Miami, Florida, on April 17, 1963. She received her B.A. degree in psychology from Stanford University in 1985, her J.D. degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1988, and her M.B.A. degree from Mercer University in Atlanta in 2000. After receiving her law degree, Goins joined the firm of Fine, Jacobson, Schwartz, Nash, Block & England. In 1992, Goins joined BellSouth Telecommunications as a general attorney. She went on to hold the positions of general attorney and vice president of diversity at Cingular Wireless until 2003. Goins then joined Home Depot Corporation as its chief diversity officer. From 2009 to 2011, Goins served as founder and president of Brilliant Ideas, a marketing and diversity consulting company, before working as vice president of business diversity outreach for Prudential Financial. In 2014, Goins became chief diversity and inclusion officer for Bon Secours Health System.
