The papers reflect current research in areas such as composites, micro/nano materials, iron and steel, metal alloy materials, high-performance elastomers and polymers, biomaterials, and optical, electronic, and magnetic materials. Other papers look at advances in materials physics and materials chemistry in general. Some specific chapter subjects include a numerical approach for the simulation of cementitious materials, a microemulsion system for transdermal delivery of matrine, and residual stresses in locally long fiber reinforces aluminum parts.
