Summary:Ronald H. Coase reflects on the development of his theories of law and economics in the centennial Coase lecture. Coase reiniscences on how his education in economics, interest in law, and visit to United States factories helped him develop what would later become his theories on market pricing and firms, including the writing of his articles "The Nature of the Firm" and "The Theory of Social Cost."
