Held and Maffettone provide readers with a comprehensive blueprint of various conceptual approaches to global political theory. The contributors include scholars exploring topics linked with the theme of global political theory. Political scientists and philosophers from Britain, the US, Canada, and Australia combined their skills and approaches in this project to explain the intricacies of the world order. Human rights, global political justice, the legitimacy of international law, territorial rights, natural resources, fairness in trade, the ethical aspects of worldwide financial integration, the statist view of global justice, and universal justice are among the topics covered in this collective endeavor. The book offers help to everybody who wants to understand the philosophical and conceptual dilemmas of modern international relations. One merit of this book is captivating discussion of morality in international relations. The language of the volume is accessible to various levels of readership. This book could be of help to readers at all levels but should be particularly useful to upper-division undergraduates and above. Summing Up: Recommended. Upper-division undergraduates through faculty. --Yury Polsky, West Chester University of Pennsylvania
