Notes:	"In this printing of Amerigo Vespucci's letter to Piero Soderini, Gonfaloniere of the Republic of Florence, (finished at Lisbon on the 4 day of September, 1504), the text followed is a literal translation of the original Italian edition, published by Pietro Pacini di Pascia (and probably printed in the shop of Gian Stefano di Pavia) at Florence in 1505 or 1506; the work subsequently dropping from sight and its existence being forgotten until the discovery of a copy more than three centuries later. This edition, printed for the Book Club of California by Edwin and Robert Grabhorn, consists of two hundred and fifty copies. Initials, drawings and hand-colored map, adapted from contemporary sources, by Valenti Angelo. San Francisco: June tenth, Mcmxxvi." --Colophon.
