The late 4th century figure Vigilius was the third bishop of Trent. The cult of St. Vigilius grew shortly after his death. This book reconstructs an office in honor of Vigilius dating from 1584, and also discusses a fragmentary older office dating from the Middle Ages. With an extensive introduction.
